Marta Espinos

Marta Espinós was born in Spain, where she graduated in 2000 with the highest qualifications and the Chamber Music Degree Special Award. From 2000 to 2004 she was a scholarship holder of the Valencia Music Institute to study a postgraduate in Piano and Chamber Music in “L’Escola de Música de Barcelona”, under the direction of Albert Attenelle and Jordi Mora. During that time she was invited to participate as a soloist at musical events such as the “Eclectic Summer Festival”, “Young Performers Cycle of Valencia University”, “Young Pianists Cycle at the Fine Arts Museum of Alicante” and “Barcelona Musical Youth Performers Cycle”. In addition she has performed in halls such as “Maeght Gallery”, “Ateneu Barcelonès”, “Caja Madrid Auditorium”, “Sala Parès”, “La Llotgeta Auditorium” (Spain) amongst others. She has attended piano performance courses with Eulàlia Solé, Maria Tipo, Joaquín Achúcarro, Solomon Mikowsky and Olga Tverskaja (fortepiano).
Marta Espinós has received awards in the “V International Music Competition of Cartagena”, “José Roca National Piano Competition”, “International Piano Competition of Berga” and the “Joan Massià Competition” (Spain).
Furthermore, she has performed as a soloist in special audiovisual recitals, such as “480″, a project combining photography and minimalistic new-age music, in collaboration with the Spanish photographer Xavier Mollà, and “Piano under the Stars”, a concert with simultaneous showing and repertoire related to the night in the “Hemisfèric Planetarium” in “La Ciutat de les Arts i de les Ciències “, the architectonic complex by Santiago Calatrava in Valencia.
In 2005-she offerred a cycle of weekly performances of the Bach  “Goldberg Variations” at “Barroc Space-Dalmases Palace” in Barcelona, which received praise from the critics.
At present she is a student of Joaquín Achúcarro in the Artist Certificate program at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
